Baritone Axier Sánchez, warm and powerful voice, with elegant stage presence, has performed in some of the best important Spanish theaters such as Teatro Real, Teatro de la Zarzuela and Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Teatro Arriaga and Palacio Euskalduna (Bilbao), Auditorio de Tenerife, Palau de la Música (Valencia), Palacio de la Ópera and Teatro Colón (La Coruña), Teatro Campoamor (Oviedo) and Teatro Cervantes (Málaga). Also in Accademia Santa Cecilia (Rome) and The Pearl (Doha, Qatar) together with tenor Plácido Domingo. In addition, he has worked with conductors and stage directors such as Bieito, Sagi, Albrecht, Gruber, Yurkevych, Pasqual, Encinar, Ros Marbá, Gómez Martínez, Hernández Silva, Mir, Caballé-Domenech and Carniti.

Born in Irún, Mr. Sánchez has completed their studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Escuela Superior de Canto (Madrid). He has also studied flamenco and classical guitar, and Direction at the Real Conservatorio de Música (Madrid). Mr. Sánchez was accepted in the Accademia Santa Cecilia Opera Studio (Rome) where he studied under the guidance of Renata Scotto and Silvana Bazzoni Bartoli. Also he has worked repertoire with Maestros Alberto Zedda, Leo Nucci and Mariella Devia in Piacenza, Milan, Florence and Rome.
